Prestbury is an historic village situated in the east of the county of Cheshire within the parish of Macclesfield. The village is notable for its early medieval church of St Peters, with its Norman chapel, and for the former Priest's House, an outstanding example of Cheshire timber framing. The centre of the village is designated as a Conservation area and contains long rows of listed buildings, including former silk weavers' cottages. The village lies upon, and slightly raised from the River Bollin.
Today Prestbury is a much sought-after residential area.
